Nominate someone deserving for a Forest Run Farm CSA membership

Forest Run Farm is seeking nominations for a family or individual to receive a CSA share at no cost—a Community Share. The recipient will receive 20 weeks of vegetables and all the benefits of membership including participation in farm events. Criteria for selecting the recipient may be based on commitment to community and/or financial need.

To nominate someone for a Community Share, email the name, address, and phone number and a short response using the selection criteria as to why this family or individual deserves a Community Share to farmer@forestrunfarm.com by May 1, 2010.

Local Food Pantry Donations

Farm members are given the option to donate their weekly share to a local food pantry during weeks they are out of town or unable to pick up their share. Farm members must request the donation before the actual delivery date, allowing Forest Run Farm ample time to arrange transportation to the local food pantry. Forest Run Farm also donates additional farm quantities when a specific harvest is overabundant.

Adopt a Road cleanup

Forest Run Farm crew members clean up a section of Mueller Road in the Town of Windsor at least two times a year.

Partner Shares

As a member of Madison Area Community Supported Agriculture Coalition (MACSAC) Forest Run Farm participates as a farm in the Partner Shares Program. This program makes CSA affordable for hundreds of low-income households. MACSAC relies on support from hundreds of generous households and local businesses each year.
